Saturday, April 27, marks the fifth celebration of Independent Bookstore Day. Throughout the Northwest, bookstores are joining this one-day national party. Drop into your local bookstore to enjoy live readings from local authors, goodies, scavenger hunts, kids events, art tables, readings, barbecues, contests, or other fun stuff. Each store will celebrate the day differently but all will have exclusive books and literary items available only on Saturday.
