Held on Bremerton’s waterfront, the Puget Sound Book Festival is an annual celebration of indie bookstores and publishers in the Puget Sound region. The 2026 festival takes place on Sunday, August 9, 12pm to 4pm. The free outdoor event can be found on the Bremerton Boardwalk.

Stanwood’s New Book Fest Premieres on August 8
Readers who want an entire weekend of book festivals can head to Snohomish County before they go to Bremerton. Stanwood Book Fest is the latest addition to the Puget Sound book events list. Its “First Chapter” will be held on Saturday, August 8,10am to 4pm. This family-friendly event can be found on the historic Stanwood Brick Road, 270th Street NW.
