Local author and marketing consultant Beth Jusino has created a multiple day workshop for those looking to self publish their writing.
“We’re going to be as open and interactive as technology will allow—about the craft and business of becoming your own publisher. Yes, we’ll give you specific steps, checklists, and advice for how to get your book into more readers’ hands. Most of you have been to my classes, and you know I’ll have a lot of information. But we’ll also have a lot of time for engagement, stories, and questions—both yours and our own,” Jusino wrote in her newsletter this month. She will co-host this fall event with friend and fellow writer Steve Watkins.
“Steve and I have been friends since 2015, when we met through a shared love of the Camino de Santiago, which we’ve both walked and written about. Our conversations expanded over the years, along with our writing topics. We’ve served as beta readers, sounding boards, and editors for one another, have shared book sales tables at conferences, and have been interviewed on podcasts. In fact, it was a conversation we had on The Camino podcast this summer that kicked this whole event into motion,” wrote Jusino.
October 22-25, 2020Topics include The Craft of Writing, Building an Audience, the Nuts and Bolts of Self Publishing, and Marketing After Release. More information at yourbestbookretreat.com.
