July Bookseller And Distributer News From PNBA

Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association reported that Broadway Books’ owner Roberta Dyer is planning to retire after 22 years as a bookstore owner. With sales up for the Portland, OR, independent bookstore, Dyer announced in a recent  store newsletter that this is a perfect time to step down. Currently Dyer and co-owner, Sally McPherson, are looking for a partner or partners to join McPherson in 50% ownership of the store.

PNBA also alerted bookstores that Nancy Suib & Associates has added the Gryphon House imprint to its list of represented publishers. Suib will cover the line in Oregon and Alaska, while David Diehl will cover Washington, Idaho and Montana.
