Good News From Northwest Booksellers and PNBA

TeganAndBrianPacific Northwest Booksellers Association’s board president Tegan Tigani and marketing director Brian Juenemann headed to New York for BookExpo America at the end of May. While at the show, they heard James Patterson announce grants for Annie Bloom’s Books, Portland, OR; Country Bookshelf, Bozeman, MT; Seattle Mystery Bookshop, Seattle, WA; and Village Books, Bellingham, WA, among others.

Closer to home, two independent bookstores opened this month. The Well-Read Moose opened at the beginning of the month at 2048 N Main St, Coeur d’Alene, ID. Seattle author Tom Nissley and designer Laura Silverstein will re-open a small neighborhood bookstore formerly known as Santoro’s Books. The new Phinney Books opens at 7405 Greenwood Ave. N, Seattle, WA, on June 21.
