nwbookfestThe following 2013 Book Publishers Northwest members will receive a full scholarship to Northwest Bookfest:

Gary Beggs
Peter Kahle, 74th Street Productions

Karen Robbins, Hide and Seek Press

Every year, Book Publishers Northwest provides a number of opportunities to members and interested others to learn more about the business of publishing.

For the public, BPNW hosts monthly meetings at the Good Shepherd Center in Seattle about topics of interest to small press publishers.  These meetings take place from September to June and are free to attend unless otherwise indicated on the calendar.

For members, BPNW offers a number of scholarships and discounts to educational events as determined by the organizers of those events. In 2013, this has included one full scholarship to IBPA Pub U in Chicago, five full scholarships to Northwest Bookfest in Kirkland, discounted admittance to Seattle Book Summit, and discounted admittance to Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association’s Trade Show and education seminars in Portland.

If you are the organizer of an educational event that would be of interest to our members and would like to offer a scholarship or discount, please contact us at bpnwnews at aol.com.  If you are interested in becoming a member of Book Publishers Northwest, click here.

  1. I’d sure like it if I could come for $50 instead of $99.

Otherwise I may choose to attend 1 day and do the free things on the 2nd day, though I’d prefer the workshops.

Please let me know. Thank you. Moreah

We’re not running this event so we can’t give out discounts. You might want to try sending this question to Northwest Bookfest and its organizers.
