The Women’s National Book Association connects book lovers with publishing professionals as well as promotes women’s careers in publishing.

Each year the organization sponsors National Reading Group Month in October to highlight the work of women authors and publishers. Participating bookstores or libraries in the ten cities with WNBA Chapters receive materials from WNBA that they can use to support the presentations as well as publicity for their events. In Seattle, this month-long event is called Readings ‘Round the Sound.
