Independent Publishers of New England recently extended a special invitation to all members of IBPA and its affiliates to display their books at the two major fall shows in New England (NEIBA for booksellers, NELA for libraries). This means BPNW members may exhibit at the same low rates available for IPNE member for these shows..
“Our displays are among the most-visited at both shows every year, because booksellers and librarians know that we have books of special interest to residents of our region, as well as some of the best independently published books from throughout the U.S,” said Steve Carlson of Upper Access Books in a recent email.
The New England Independent Booksellers Association takes place Oct 7-8 in Providence, RI. IPNE plans to host displays, have a show handout, and other opportunities for promotion.
The New England Library Association meets Oct 20-22 in Portland, ME.
To register, go to the IPNE site at http://www.ipne.org/ . The links to sign up for the two programs are prominent on the home page, or else navigate to them using the “events” tab. Under the options for registering, you will see rates for “IPNE or Publishing Affiliate Member.”
If you are a member of Book Publishers Northwest, pick “Publishing Affiliate Member” and list Book Publishers Northwest as the affiliate group that you belong to.
