The Northwest Bookfest, now in its third year in Kirkland, is retooling their approach for 2013. Scheduled for Nov. 2-3, the popular literary festival moves inside and will be more focused on educational workshops for writers and publishers.
The new site will be Northwest University, south of downtown Kirkland, and the theme for 2013 will be “benefits and challenges of digital publishing.”
For $99, participants can attend two days of workshops, taught by established writers and trade professionals, on topics ranging from e-books and digital distribution to social networking and online marketing. All events will be on the campus of Northwest University, 5520 108th Avenue, Kirkland.
Northwest Bookfest will continue to provide fun for readers too with a series of free author readings.
