With early commitment from volunteers Rosemary Jones and Tom Blaschko, Book Publishers Northwest will be able to display members’ books at the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association’s 2013 Fall Trade Show. More details will be sent in the summer to members.
As always, books will be collected in September. In order to give all members equal display space, each member will be restricted to displaying one title and related sales literature. There may be limited time for members volunteering at the booth to do book signings (half hour to one hour). Such requests will be handled during the sign up for volunteers in September.
Due to past problems with changing schedules and members changing their minds, any request to do activities in the booth received before September 1 will be discarded with no response.
Volunteers can only do activities at the BPNW booth during the time allotted to them. If activities are seen as disruptive to the display as a whole, the activity will be ended.
Members wishing to do larger displays, all day book signings, give aways, or other activities at a booth should consider reserving their own space at the show.
The Pacific Northwest Booksellers Fall Trade Show is the largest local show for booksellers and librarians held in the Northwest. It is not open to the public. The 2013 Fall Trade Show will be held October 6 through 8 at the Airport Holiday Inn, Portland, OR.
Registration is now open for the 2013 Fall Trade Show.
Display at the BPNW’s booth is restricted to 2013 members and 2013/14 members. 2013 memberships are currently $50 through August 30. After Sept 1, only 2013/14 memberships will be available for $90. More details on how to join can be found here.
