BPNW members are invited to join Independent Publishers of New England in displaying their books to librarians at the NELA conference in October. The cost is $55 per book for display.
“Our table is always among the most visited, and there is no better way to expose your book to New England librarians,” Steve Carlson from IPNE said “New England librarians tend to seek out books with any connection to our region–so if you have a New England author, or your book has subject matter related to our region, it is likely to attract particular interest But even without a specific regional connection, IPNE has a great relationship with NELA, so displaying at our table is a way to show librarians that you care about New England.”
NELA will take pace this year October 14-16 in Sturbridge, Mass. Those signing up early for display–by September 10–will be able to have their books listed, with cover graphics, in IPNE’s fall catalog at no extra cost. No books can be added to the catalog once the September 10 deadline is past.
“To sign up at the member price, go to IPNE’s Web site,” said Carlson. “We are having some flaky issues with our URL, which is usually http://www.ipne.org. If you have any difficulty getting through, please use the following link to get directly to to the page for registering for events: http://ipone.memberlodge.org/Events. This should work regardless of whether the regular or not the regular address is functional again by the time you visit the site.”
