Betsy Lampe leaves FPA board

After many decades of service to the publishing community in Florida, Betty Wright, founder of Florida Publishers Association, and Betsy Lampe will be leaving the FPA board effective June 1.

“The current board is composed of some real go-getters, and they will manage the transition with ease,” said Lampe in a recent email to the Independent Book Publishers Association’s affiliate boards.

The email will remain active, but anyone emailing it after June 1 will receive an auto responder, which will direct them to contact members of the FPA Board of Directors. The phone will become a fax-only machine for Rainbow Books, Inc., and a message will direct any callers to visit the website. Any stray FPA messages will be forwarded.

“I will still be in publishing, and I will spend my time with Betty Wright, focusing on Rainbow Books, Inc., our family publishing company,” said Lampe.
