May 20 Meeting: Improve Your Bookstore Event

Join members of Book Publishers Northwest as we discuss ways to improve the impact of your bookstore events. Sending an author on a signing tour and want to arm her or him with more than a pen? Speaking yourself in a corner of the store while toddlers go screaming by and wondering how to make your voice heard?

Learn how to attract an audience, make your titles memorable, and leave the bookstore staff wanting you or your authors to return for another engagement. Come ready to share your ideas and/or your horror stories with your fellow members.

Tom Masters, board president of Book Publishers Northwest, and David Ash, the mastermind behind our March Small Press events, will lead this discussion.

The meeting is in Room 202, Good Shepherd Center, 4 pm to 6 pm.

The Good Shepherd Center is located at 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N. in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. From the 45th or 50th N.E. exits, it is about eight blocks west of I-5.

There is free parking at Center (please check signage and do not park in spaces reserved for tenants).

Book Publishers Northwest is a trade association dedicated to promoting and encouraging the growth of the book publishing business in Washington and surrounding states.
