The book cover has always been the most important marketing devices to lure potential buyers. But now a new marketing tool is taking its place alongside the venerable book cover. It is the book trailer also known as a book wrap or a book video.
A book trailer is usually a 2-3 minute video usually featuring author interviews and visuals which illustrate the content of the book. Book trailers are showing up on YouTube and scores of other online video distribution sites where they serve a dual purpose as entertainment and advertising. In just a few years, the book trailer has emerged as a “must have” in the book marketing mix.
For our November 11 educational seminar, Sheila Clover-English, CEO of the largest book trailer production company in the US, will share her insights on effective book trailer production, distribution and tracking.
