The Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association announced today that they will not hold a Spring trade show in 2008 or 2009. Plans continue for a Fall Trade Show to take place in Bellevue in Fall 2007.
“I think putting the spring show on hiatus is what the association needs right now. With two tradeshows a year, we are a Tradeshow Production Company,” stated PNBA Director Thom Chamblis in the association’s newsletter.
The hiatus, continued Chambliss, would allow PNBA’s staff to work on new programs to increase sales for independent bookstores.
